1. School comes first. Make sure you are keeping up with your homework before you come to practice.

2. This is a team sport. This means we will be rewarded as a team and disciplined as a team.

3. If a coach is talking, you need to stop talking. They are trying to help you improve, so please be respectful.

4. If a coach raises his/her hand, that is a signal that you need to stop talking and pay attention. If the coach holds their hand up for more than 10 seconds, the team will get out and do push-ups.

5. Flip-turns & touch-turns are required; you must also swim completely in to the wall. At every wall, you should do the appropriate turn and at the end you should touch the wall. Failure to do so will result in crunches, for the whole team.

6. Touching the bottom of the pool is not allowed, unless a coach is talking to you about your swimming, or you are done with your set and at the wall. If you touch any other time, the team will be getting out and doing push-ups.

7. At the end of a set, stay at the wall. Please do not push off the walls, hold handstand contests, or do somersaults. If you are under the water you will not be able to hear the set and we will not repeat it for every person.

8. Go to the bathroom before practice starts, which means before we stretch. You will only be allowed to go twice during practice and only one person at a time. You also cannot go until the end of a set.

9. Try and be on time. We understand that people have other obligations, but stretching and warm-ups are important to keep you from getting injured.

10. Bring water bottles. It is important to drink water to keep you from being dehydrated and to keep you from getting cramps.

11. All pool rules apply. This means no running on deck, no diving in the shallow end, no pulling on the lane lines, and all the others.

12. If you ever have a question or a story for the coaches, please come to us. We want you to be able to approach us with anything. However, if the question or story is not related to swimming, please talk with us before or after practice.
