Western Reserve Searider Swim Team

The Western Reserve Searider Swim Team, based at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent, is a nonprofit organization that is affiliated with USA Swimming, the national governing body for swimming. The team provides a competitive, age group-oriented program to encourage the development of all swimmers from beginning and novice through national competition levels. Members of the Searider team include swimmers from Kent, Stow, Ravenna, Field and many surrounding communities. Seariders is a group of fun, fit and competitive swimmers that enjoy improving their swimming skills and competing with their friends.

A two week trial is offered throughout the year for $50.

Summer 2008 Registration

Open registration for the summer session is still open - stop by a practice session and request a registration package from the coaches or contact a parent board member.

Practice begins on Monday, May 12. Participants who are new to the organization should bring a copy of their birth certificate plus medical information to register. Swimmers have the choice of practicing one to six times per week, depending on their interest and ability. The season runs through the League Championship Meet at the end of July 2008.

Prices for the Summer 2008 Session are:

Novice            $175   

Intermediate  $225

Advanced       $225

New Swimmers add $26.50 for USA Registration 

 

 

Fall/Winter 2008-2009 Registration 

Open registration for the fall/winter session will be held the first and second week of practice - Monday, September 8 thru Thursday, September 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the pool entrance.

Practice begins on Monday, Sept. 8. Participants who are new to the organization should bring a copy of their birth certificate plus medical information to register. Swimmers have the choice of practicing one to five days per week, depending on their interest and ability. Novice and intermediate swimmers practice from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while advanced swimmers practice from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. . The season runs through the Northeast Ohio Lake Erie Swimming Championship Meets in March 2008.

*High School age swimmers that do not swim with their school team must register as Advanced. A $46 USA registration fee may apply.
